  1. What is ServeCentral?

    ServeCentral (www.serve-central.com) is a free web-based application that allows law firms to save time and money by easily conducting Service of Process securely, over the internet, and allows you to use your existing trusted Process Server. This Software as a service (SaaS) product is simply the easiest most efficient and concise way for you to manage, track and communicate with any Process Server anywhere, anytime using the internet.

  2. How do I get a ServeCentral Client account?

    To setup your account, you need to complete some basic credit information through a link on our home page. As a software developer for the legal industry, we care how information about you is used and shared, and you can trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. Upon credit approval, you will receive an e-mail from ServeCentral providing you access to your account and all the applications functionality.

  3. How will the Affidavit be returned?

    After the process has been served, the Process Server, through ServeCentral notifies the client that service has been completed. An electronic Affidavit of Service (Proof of Service) will be available to the client, followed by a hard copy of the Affidavit of Service through the mail (unless you direct otherwise).

  4. How will the client (law firm) be billed?

    Each service performed through ServeCentral is accounted for individually. Upon the clients online review and acceptance of the itemized receipt of service, a copy of that receipt is sent to the client automatically, itemizing the costs for that serve. This provides a simple and easy way for you to see your costs and disburse them quickly. Periodically your account receivables department will receive an invoice from ServeCentral with a summary of the serves transacted — including serve date and serve number, total serve cost and brief description, for ease of payment.

  5. How is a witness fee handled?

    A new serve prompts the client as to whether there is a witness fee or not. The client adds a dollar figure in the field accordingly. ServeCentral will bill the clients for the witness fee, which will be visible in the itemized receipt of service. This cost will be itemized into the corresponding serve and will be included on the client periodic invoice.

  6. Who will use ServeCentral?

    ServeCentral is designed for anyone who needs legal Service of Process executed. Many businesses and people can benefit from ServeCentral — including the general public, legal professionals, companies, government agencies, and collection companies. You can select your Process Server of choice, or if you need a Process Server, ServeCentral can auto select one for you.   7. How do Process Servers register with ServeCentral?

    Process Servers may be invited to join ServeCentral by clients (law firms, attorneys, paralegals). Process Servers may not initiate an account without an invitation. Each invitation will contain a link which will allow the Process Server to register for an account.

  8. How will a Process Server know that a job is waiting for them if I didn’t call him/her?

    Process servers will be notified through a ServeCentral electronic transmission indicating they have a serve awaiting their acceptance. This will be through e-mail, text message, and/or the Process Server checking their account.

  9. Who pays the Process Servers?

    Process servers will be paid directly by ServeCentral once the itemized service fee(s) have been reviewed and approved by the client within ServeCentral, along with the completion of the associated serve as indicated by the receipt of the electronic Affidavit of Service.

  10. How secure is our data?

    ServeCentral LLC has partnered with a leader in the Data Hosting industry. The ServeCentral data is contained in data centers which are designed with redundancy installed at every level, ensuring that a failure at any level will not affect your ability to Process Service.
